The aim of the article is to discuss selected issues of Christian feminism which attempt to reconcile traditional women’s roles in a society with the idea of emancipation. The article is composed of four parts. The first one discusses the basic theses of Christian feminism. The second one includes deliberations on biblical and theological evidence for women’s and men’s statuses. The third and fourth part offer an analysis of biblical examples of women’s autonomy and the postulate of women’s emancipation in the Christian work ethos.References
