Abstrakt

The Covid-19 pandemic caused changes in the operation of children’s hospitals around the world. The prevention of the spread of infections is one of the most pressing issues faced by everyone involved in medical care. In the following article, we would like to remind how they tried to prevent nosocomial infections in the Karol andMariaHospitalfor Children inWarsaw, which was opened in 1913. At that time, this hospital was one of the most modern inEurope, and the solutions it offered arouse admiration and amazement. Many of them appear to be still relevant today, although not widely used.
