Abstract

The spirituality of the pedagogue–senior. Various philosophers and educators, with contribution to the progress of education, commented the aspect of spirituality of the pedagogue–senior. We can mention Ignatius of Loyola (Saint of Catholic Churh), Otto Friedrich Bollnow (philosopher and pedagogue), Die-
trich von Hildebrand (ethical philosopher) or Janusz Korczak(medical doctor and educator). What groups their ideas is the deep respect for knowledge and intellectual skills, supported by underlined importance of the optimism of the Spirit, achieved through the humor and kindness during life’s difficulties. In our days the spiritual reflection also requires a sensitivity about relevant significances for the other.
