Author Guidelines

  1. An academic texts, article or edition of a historical source: (a) should concern the history of the Christianity “with special attention paid to the history of the Church in Central and Eastern Europe”; (b) should be devoted to a new field of studiem or bring a new understanding of old concepts; (c) should be based on the prima and comprehensive materials.
  2. The archival sources should be regularly quoted in the article.
  3. Preference will be given to articles in which authors: (a) explain the research problem; (b) analyse the existing literature in the field of the research; (c) present the problems described in a broader historical context; (d) give some methodological accounts.
  4. The language of the submitted article should be English, Polish,  Italian or Russian.
  5. Each article written in a language other than English should contain an abstrakt in English.
  6. The authors should make a statement that their works have not been Publisher either in parts or in whole, and that their works have not been set in any Rother publishing house.
  7. The average length of an article should be 25 pages (60,000 signs) and the text should be accompanied with a 10-line abstract.
  8. Each article will be reviewed by two independent reviewers (double blind peer-review).
  9. All the suggestions made by the reviewers for amending the text are to be considered by the author.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • The work has not been published in another journal or monograph in Poland or abroad.
  • The work has not been submitted to another journal or monograph in Poland or abroad.
  • The work is not under review at another editorial office.
  • The work was conducted with the substantive and intellectual participation of all authors.
  • The work was conducted excluding any conflicts of interest between the authors and other institutions, companies, or organizations, and any such conflicts of interest, such as a commercial source of funding, have been disclosed in the appropriate part of the work.

I submit this statement in full awareness of the legal consequences of certifying falsehoods and the ethical consequences thereof. I understand that the editorial board and publisher reserve the right to verify the originality of the submitted work and to immediately reject it in the event of a breach of the above principles. I acknowledge that the editorial board and publisher have the right to notify the author's superior in writing, indicating the scope of the violation.
