About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Faculty of Canon Law as a part of its scientific research activity publishes a periodical “Annales Canonici”. This annual is dedicated to academics, canon lawyers, as well as to those who are interested in church law. The periodical publishes articles, reviews, reports, communiqués about issues concerning canon law in the Universal Church and in the particular Churches.
Peer Review Process
The peer review process for “Annales Canonici” is as follows:
- “Annales Canonici” respects the standards given by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education enforcing the following procedures and policies: double-blind review process, ghostwriting, guest authorship financial disclosure policy.
- Papers for “Annales Canonici” are to be edited according to the rules for Author given by Editorial staff and the Publishing House of the University.
- The Editorial staff rates the proposed paper, and decides whether to consider the paper for review or not.
- The Editorial staff makes decision by ordinary majority of votes.
- After the preliminary acceptance, the paper is sent to the reviewer of the 1st level.
- Next, the paper is sent to the reviewer of the 2nd level.
- The two reviewers are not affiliated with the Author’s institution. The rules of the double-blind review process are applied.
- The reviews are prepared in writing according to the format provided by the journal.
- After the positive evaluation done by the two reviewers, the article is sent for publishing process. Only the part concerning the substance of the review is disclosed to the Author.
- The list of Reviewers is published on the webpage and in the printed version of "Annales Canonici".
