Psychoanalysis in the Lvov-Warsaw School: Stepan Baley about Endymion motive in literary creativity of Taras Shevchenko and Juliusz Słowacki

Abstract

The concept of Endymion motive of creativity by Ukrainian and Polish psychologist Stepan Baley as an example of psychoanalytic studies in the tradition of the Lvov-Warsaw philosophical school is examined in this paper. It is shown that S. Baley on the base of used methodology was able to identify deep parallels in the works of great poets of Ukraine (Taras Shevchenko) and Poland (Juliusz Słowacki).

    Stepan Ivanyk – absolwent Wydziału Filozoficznego Narodowego Uniwersytetu I. Franki we Lwowie (2004) oraz Studium Europy Wschodniej Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego (2008). Obecnie doktorant Szkoły Nauk Społecznych Instytutu Filozofii i Socjologii Polskiej Akademii Nauk.
