Faith and theology according to Jacek Salij OP

The aim of the article is to present the essence of faith and theology according to Fr. Jacek Salij. By analyzing the writings of the Polish Dominican, the authors show the meaning of theology in the first part. The second part is devoted to the wisdom dimension of philosophy. In the third part, they deal with the ecclesiality of theology. The fourth part is a reflection on the thought of Aquinas, which can be found in J. Salij. The key terms appearing in the title of the article and constantly present in the writings of the Polish Dominican, i.e. faith and theology, are shown in their mutual references. The conclusions drawn from the conducted analyses are as follows. The theology that J. Salij deals with serves the development of faith. The Polish Dominican shows theology and faith in mutual relations. The theology that J. Salij deals with has a clear ecclesiastical character. It wants to serve the Church. The theology of the Polish Dominican is practiced in the stream of tradition, referring to theological authorities.
