“Ku Wyżynom” (1933–1937) – The Magazine Published by the Literature Circle of Students at the Diocesan Curia Junior High School in Sandomierz

Sandomierz has a rich publishing tradition. Approximately 230 magazine titles have been published there. In the interwar period, four school magazines were published: “Spójnia” (1916–1939) at the boys' junior high school; “Nasz Głos” (1917–1918) at the Girls' Philological School; “Razem Młodzi Przyjaciele” (1925) at the Girls' Teacher Training College; and “Ku Wyżynom” (1933–1937) at the Diocesan junior high school. The magazine “Spójnia” is the only one that has been the subject of a monographic study. This article presents the magazine “Ku Wyżynom.” It provides information about the school known as the minor seminary and the Literature Circle which operated in it and was the publisher of the magazine. How the magazine was created and published are also discussed. The periodical was analyzed both in terms of its formal and publishing aspects as well as in terms of its content.
