German economic and social law introduced in the Gen¬eral Government in 1939–1940

This article concentrates on economic and social law introduced in the General Government (GG) in 1939–1940. This problem still has not been thoroughly described in Polish historiography. This is why the paper’s aim is to analysis German regulations. In the discussed period, Germany treated GG as the subject of negotiations with the Western Allies. At the same time, they introduced regulations contrary to international law. The article suggests that German regulations were concentrated on exploitation, support for the German war economy and systematic limitation of the rights of the occupied population.
