In the presented article, the author presents the most famous action of the Wachlarz organization carried out in January 1943. At the time, the strike team freed members of the Polish underground held in a prison in Pinsk, headed by the commander of section III of the Fan, Capt. Alfred Paczkowski. The author not only accurately presented the preparations and execution of the action itself, but also pointed out that the action, despite the cost to the Polish population of Pinsk, had a huge propaganda impact among Polish society and showed members of the underground that they would not be left alone in case of arrest.
