Abstract

The article refers life and activity of Stefan Korzeniowski, who was an organist in
Rudzica near Bielsko-Biała more than seventy years. Based on archival materials (few,
unfortunaltely) and interview with Jadwiga Szychowska, the daughter of Stefan Korzeniowski,
after short historic introduction, the article describes music education of Stefan
Korzeniowski and the most important elements that characterize his activity in the post
of organist of parish in Rudzica.

  • Krzysztof Kurnik, Uniwersytet Papieski Jana Pawła II w Krakowie
    Krzysztof Kurnik – urodzony w 1981 roku w Bielsku-Białej, kapłan diecezji bielsko-żywieckiej. Święcenia prezbiteratu przyjął 3 czerwca 2006 roku. Studia teologiczne ukończył na Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, zaś studia muzyczne w Międzyuczelnianym Instytucie Muzyki Kościelnej w Krakowie. Uczy muzyki kościelnej w Wyższym Seminarium Duchownym Archidiecezji Krakowskiej i prowadzi chór seminaryjny.
