The article presents the genesis, purpose and implementation of the “Theo-logos” project, a theological digital repository created by the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin until 2020. The Polish theological bibliographic and full-text databases are discussed, indicating the advisability of creating another full-text database. Then, the initiators of the “Theo-logos” project, the goals and the thematic scope of the database being created are presented. The next steps explain the meaning of the Greek name "Theo-logos", list the contractors, the project team, discuss the scope of employee responsibilities, financing, resources (as of the end of 2023), the DSpace application supporting the database, and the development strategy.
