W drugiej zaś przeanalizowano występowanie terminów takich jak legion, centurion, trybun, prefekt, prokonsul i cezar, wskazując, że autorzy Nowego Testamentu posługiwali się nomenklaturą wierną ówczesnemu kontekstowi historyczno-politycznemu. Z pracy wynika, że język Nowego Testamentu w zakresie odniesień do armii rzymskiej pozostaje zgodny z realiami I w., co potwierdza jego wysoką wiarygodność historyczną.

Terminology Related to Roman Legions in the New Testament
Abstract
This article is a linguistic and historical analysis of military terminology referring to the Roman army in the New Testament. An analytical and synthetic method is used to compare the structure and hierarchy of the Roman legion with the biblical use of corresponding terms, examining their consistency with historical reality. The first part discusses the history and organization of the legions from the reforms of Marius and Octavian Augustus to the command hierarchy from legionnaire to emperor. The second part analyzes the occurrence of terms such as legion, centurion, tribune, prefect, proconsul and Caesar, pointing out that the authors of the New Testament used nomenclature faithful to the historical and political context of the time. The work shows that the language of the New Testament in its references to the Roman army remains consistent with the realities of the first century, which confirms its high historical credibility.
