The Human Being in the face of the Mistery of Being. Remarks to the ontological concept of S. I. Witkiewicz

According to Witkiewicz’s concept, the human’s attitude towards being has twofolded character. On the one side, the human being experiences the obviousness of being, since the fact of our being and the existence of the items around us is taken as granted, while on the other hand, when asked about what is being in itself, one is unable to give the answer. Therefore, from the cognitive point of view, the Being is a mystery and experiencing it has an exceptional character. The first part of the paper presents this aspect of Witkiewicz’s philosophical concept, for which, the crucial idea is Being itself, as well as it issues the topic of its experiencing. The second part describes the human’s attitude towards Particular Being.
