Abstract

Based on the achievements of the philosophy of science and some aspects of J. Tischner’s philosophy, the essay proposes a literary and philosophical model of the dialogue between science, philosophy, and theology. The model suggests a different insight into the history of science–belief dispute: the main issue becomes the recognition of the domain in which the given formulation of the problem in question can be solved.

    Tadeusz Sierotowicz – ur. 1960 w Nowym Sączu, doktor habilitowany, zajmuje się filo-
    zofią nauki, zwłaszcza w aspekcie jej relacji z teologią, literaturą oraz dydaktyką matematyki i fizyki; tłumacz literatury filo-
    zoficznej. Autor publikacji dotyczących Galileusza i tłumacz jego dzieł na język polski. Współpracuje z Centrum Kopernika Badań Interdyscyplinarnych w Krakowie oraz z Istituto di Scienze Religiose w Bolzano (Włochy). Opublikował m.in. Nauka a wiara – przestrzeń dialogu, Tarnów 1997 (poszerzona i poprawiona wersja polska książki La casa nel mondo interpretato, Città del Vaticano 1995; wydanie drugie – poprawione w profilu: Academia.edu), Od metodycznej polemiki do polemiki metodologicznej.
