Poverty in the Psalms of Israel

Poor of Psalms is a faithful member of the people of Israel, who was in a state of emergency. This threat may be the nature of the social, political or religious. The sense of helplessness, directs the call to God, who has entered into Covenant with Israel. The concept of poverty in the Psalms of Israel developed, taking on more and more importance metaphorical. Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, the highest rank poverty gives spiritual, recognizing them as the main attribute of belonging to a spiritual realm: Blessed (happiness) are the poor in Spirit.References
