In this article, I attempt to answer the most intricate questions concerning the possibility of experiencing God. For this purpose, I am juxtaposing the views of two thinkers representing separate disciplines and religious as well as cultural traditions: the Russian philosopher Siemion L. Frank and the Swiss theologian Hans Urs von Balthasar. I illustrate the methodological limitations of philosophy, which become a field for theology. Absolutely Inconceivable by Siemion L. Frank juxtaposed with Primary and fundamental experience by H. U. von Balthasar open up new perspectives for both disciplines flowing between faith and reason.
