The article presents melodic and rhythmic relations of both versions of the antiphon “Suscepimus Deus” found in the Krakow manuscript “Missale plenarium” (14th century) kept in the Archives and Library of the Krakow Cathedral Chapter. While analyzing both diastematic notations, reference was also made to older sources containing adiastematic notation (Metz and St. Gall). The study also considers melodic-rhythmic and melodic-textual layers. Elements common to both notations were described, differences were identified with an attempt to explain them, and a hypothesis regarding the lacuna in one of the compared versions of the piece was presented.
