The Relevance of the Charism of the Congregation of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Dialogue with Traditional African Religions

This article analyzes the importance of the charism of the Resurrectionists in the context of contemporary missionary challenges in Africa, emphasizing spiritual renewal, unity with God and the hope of resurrection. In a dynamically changing world, dialogue with traditional African religions becomes crucial because these religions, deeply rooted in local culture, offer a perspective in which the sacred coexists with the profane. Mutual respect and understanding are essential in the process of missionary inculturation, enabling the adaptation of Christianity to local realities. The Resurrectionist charism, based on God’s love and social justice, creates a foundation for cooperation with traditional African religions, emphasizing common values and enabling spiritual enrichment. Such dialogue can contribute to building united, just and spiritually developed societies.
